JEE Advanced to go online from 2016

JEE Advanced
At a meeting of the Joint Admission Board of IITs held on August 23, 2014 in New Delhi, the institutes agreed that JEE Advanced, which determines admission to all 16 IITs, should go completely online from 2016.

About 1.5 lakh students are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced exam. The online JEE Advanced will consist of Paper I and Paper II.

  3. IIT Kharagpur
  4. IIT Roorkee
  5. IIT Kanpur
  6. IIT Madras
  7. IIT (BHU) Varanasi
  8. IIT Bhubaneswar
  9. IIT Gandhinagar
  10. IIT Guwahati
  11. IIT Hyderabad
  12. IIT Indore
  13. IIT Jodhpur
  14. IIT Mandi
  15. IIT Patna
  16. IIT Ropar
  17. ISM Dhanbad
  18. Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Ratapur Chowk, Rae Bareli, UP
  19. Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER)
  20. Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram
  21. Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore
JEE Main has already gone partly online. The IITs own Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) and Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) for masters courses also offered at the institutes are also online.

The online JEE Advanced will continue to consist of Paper I and Paper II and will have to be taken on the same day.
