You need systematic approach and dedicated preparation. As you have great percentile, earlier I guess you know it. Following tips & tricks will help you to get more marks in GATE 2021

Generally GATE problems are not lengthy. So, while solving any GATE problem, if the solution takes more than 8 steps, you must re-look at the approach.

While solving the problem, students must have balance between speed & accuracy.

Preparation time for GATE is subjective and depends on the so many factors such as individual's aptitude, fundamentals, attitude, concentration level etc., Typically, a rigorous preparation of 4-6 months is considered good enough for getting into IISc or IITs.

Keep a check on your performance; it is compulsory to directly jump upon the previous GATE question on the topic you just finished. You can try to solve some examples in model papers also.

Any problem can be tackled in number of ways. So being innovative and intuitive also helps to reach the correct option quickly. This means, it is not at all compulsory to solve question in typical way.

Practice comes handy to solve questions quicker so that the balance time can be utilized in some really thought provoking questions.

You should have done sufficient study/ discussion, so that the moment you start reading the question you should have an intuition on whether you can solve it. One way, is to read multiple books on the same subjects, especially for subjects of your interest or the thrust portion in GATE exam pattern. Also, to support your study with some self notes is good idea. This helps in final revisions.

While preparing always keep your goal in thought and fancy being in the place like top institutes wherever you want to have admission.

Always remember you can get, if you really want. So positive mind is the key. Mild tension can be helpful to have kind of motivation or a sense of duty.

You should avoid thoughts of loosing which can cause loss of concentration and low performance. Read only when you are reading.

In the last days of preparation, if you have any doubts about any topic/formula, you can have a look on these sections. Always remember, more doubts lead to more concept building.

Leave all the books few days before the exam. Have some good time and relax.

Go online and prepare and practice tests and analyse yourself about your preparation

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">The Supreme Court today has allowed medical aspirants above 25 years to sit for this year’s National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) to be held on May 7. The Court has directed the CBSE, conducting body, to open the online portal from today evening so that all petitioners and non-petitioners can apply for the entrance exam.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">
The last date to fill the online application is by April 5. Hearing two writ petitions regarding removal of age criteria introduced this year, the apex court has further the hearing to July.

“The judge recorded the submissions of all parties including MCI and petitioners and allowed the NEET aspirant to sit for the exam this year,” said advocate Vaibhav Srivastava. Noted lawyers Indu Malhotra and Amarendra Sharan also represented the students.

CBSE released the NEET 2017 notification where it introduced age and attempt cap. While it made NEET 2017 as the first attempt after the protest from students, the government stood firm on fixing maximum age to be 25 years.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">
Activist Dr Anand Rai, who is supporting the students, said that with these criteria, students from rural background will suffer. “A lot of students from rural background will badly suffer if the government doesn’t change its stand. Our nation is already facing shortage of doctors. Fixing such criteria will discourage medical aspirants.”

Source: http://indianexpress.com/article/education/neet-2017-candidates-above-25-years-can-appear-for-exam-says-supreme-court/
With just about a week left for JEE Main, 2017 - it's imperative to optimize your time & approach before the big exam.

The country's largest engineering entrance exam, the JEE Main is scheduled on the 2nd of April, 2017 in offline mode i.e in paper & pencil format, whereas the online mode will be held on 8th & 9th April, 2017. Central Board Secondary Education (CBSE) will be conducting this exam across India.
<ins class="adsbygoogle" data-ad-client="ca-pub-7833898739176447" data-ad-format="auto" data-ad-slot="1217814454" style="display: block;"></ins>
More than 12 lakh students will be competing to secure a seat in their dream engineering college. Top 2.2 Lakhs students will qualify for JEE Advanced which is conducted by the Joint Admission Board of the IIT's. Whereas, CBSE will publish a separate merit list comprising of All India Rank and Home State Rank based on JEE Main score basis which students can then opt for their desired engineering college viz NIT, IIIT, Central Funded Technical Institutes.

This year there will be no weight-age on board marks on deciding the All India Rank in JEE Main. With just about a week left for the exam, all serious aspirants must stick to a regime so that the entire year's effort does not go waste.

Here are few tips that might help you to sail through this important phase:

1. Prepare a subject-wise check list to revise or to practice

2. Do not plan for anything new at the moment. However, when you revise topics try to do it from JEE Advanced perspective also, which will help you later during JEE Advanced preparation

3. If you have not been able to revise Class 11 syllabus between November 2016 and January 2017, then you must devote one or two days to do a quick revision of Class 11 syllabus as almost 40-45 per cent questions will be asked from that portion. Revisit your revision notes for a quick recapitulation of concepts, formulae, fact based information and definition etc

4. In JEE Main few questions could be asked which might be related to practical. Students who have done practical in school will be able to answer. Hence, refer to lab manual or practical notebook to refresh your memory

5. Attempt a full length test paper every alternate day i.e. a minimum of 2-3 question paper before JEE Main. Make sure you analyse your attempts, the hits and the misses and the reason for the misses. If you are writing paper based JEE Main then attempt paper based test and if you are going to appear in online form then your practice must be in online form. Those of you who will be appearing JEE Main in online form, do make sure you solve April 2 offline

<ins class="adsbygoogle" data-ad-client="ca-pub-7833898739176447" data-ad-format="auto" data-ad-slot="1217814454" style="display: block;"></ins>
6. If there are any particular type of numerical question(s) on topics which you had faced difficulty before, then try solving few representative questions just to renew your confidence. If you are still having difficulty now, simply move on. Do not get upset about it

7. Last 48 hours before JEE Main must be kept as light as possible

8. Sleep well and devote six to seven hours of sleep daily. Avoid late night studies. Keep a watch on your diet and have your food on time

9. Engage in light free hand exercise and relax for some time

10. Try to recollect your past achievements in various competitions. That will give you lot of confidence and boost your self esteem

11. Get your exam kit ready well in advance viz JEE Main admit card, Aadhar card etc.. Though nothing else is allowed to be taken inside your examination hall this year, one can take pen, pencil and eraser etc in his bag which will be kept away from the candidate. Also, check the list of items that you are not allowed to carry to examination hall so that it does not get confiscated at the exam centre

Check your exam centre location, address, landmark, route well before time. If possible, ask anyone in your family to pay a visit one day in advance to gain familiarity with exam centre route/location
You have worked hard over the year; it's time to keep be cool and give your best on the day of JEE Main. Wish you all Good Luck!!
Earlier it was speculated that the answer key for GATE 2017 will be released soon after the exam, however, the notice on the GATE official website says that the official answer key will be released on February 27, 2017. The official answer key must not be confused with the answer keys published by coaching institutes and other unofficial websites. The official answer key will help a candidate estimate their score in the GATE exam.

Candidates who are not satisfied can challenge the answer key between March 3 and March 6. Challenges after March 6 will not be accepted by the institute. IIT Roorkee will declare the result for GATE 2017 on March 27, 2017. Candidates should mark their calendars and stay updated on GATE schedule.
Below given some JEE Main tips and tricks for candidates to help them attempt and crack the JEE Mains 2017 examination.

Don not try to start new topic, but now time for revision is the best which you have already prepared.

Don not study follow more reference books because it will create confusion. Focus on studying from your NCERT text books.

If you have any doubts then clear them as soon as possible with the help of either teachers or friends.

Create separate quick revision notes for each subject such as important formulae, important concepts and points you feel you are likely to forget.

Go through the quick revision notes as often as possible.

Practice previous year papers, JEE Main sample papers, take free online tests available online to identify to find out your weaknesses.

Time yourself while answering the sample/ mock test papers. This will help you in time management.

Gets sufficient practice and revision

Now it is clear that GATE needs conceptual clarity to crack and become success! You need systematic approach and dedicated preparation. As you have great percentile, earlier I guess you know it.

It also depends how seriously you understood your engineering subjects, not which books you buy right now!

From now you need to put at least 3-4 hours daily on studies.

Revision of the important concepts you left out during your engineering is vital through reference book. Also try to go through some standard coaching class materials if you could get.

Focus on core subjects for your stream.

I suggest, form a study group discuss with your friends and get into interactive study more when you are free.

Go through previous year question papers and try to see the pattern. Understand level of difficulty.

Appear for good online MOCKs tests or join some mocks they are not very expensive.

I came across some cool web portal spend some time there and discuss with tutors from leading institute are answering doubts.

Concentrate on topics which are easy

Practice while studying.

Below mentioned are some special tips and tricks when deciding what chapter to study on any given day for jee main 2017:

If you have enough time for the exam, pick a chapter you are weak in and one that is important from the exam standpoint.

Or if you do not have enough time, pick a chapter that you are comfortable, have not practiced enough and that is an important chapter.

Any day give priority to important chapters if you have not revised them or not practiced enough questions on them.

If exams are just approaching, leave out any new chapters because it will create a lot of stress and anyway you cannot master it enough for the exam.

Keep in mind important milestones coming up, like mock tests or school exams, festivals or family functions.

The IIT Council in its meeting held on October 2015 has constituted a Committee of Eminent Persons to suggest ways for improving the system of JEE. The Committee has after due consultation with the stakeholders, has submitted its report to Government, recommending, among other things, to do away with the weightage given to the 12th Class examination marks in the JEE (Mains) ranking.

The report of the Committee was examined In consultation with the stakeholders and the Departments of the School Education/Higher Education and the following changes have been approved by the Chairman IIT Council in the JEE pattern for 2017:

There shall be no weightage for the 12th class marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE Main exam.

For the candidates to qualify for admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFT is whose admissions are ·based on the JEE ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th Class exam, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class exam conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students the qualifying mark would be 65% In the 12th Class exam.

There is no other change in the JEE examination system for 2017.
